The Midwest BioLink Commercialization and Business Center
The Midwest BioLink Commercialization and Business Center is a world class facility for biotech and agricultural companies. This multi-tenant building provides businesses the space to move their technology to market in a secure, state of the art commercialization and research facility. The BioLInk Center is a 31,000 square foot building on a three acre site within a 227 acre bio-ag technology campus in Madison, Wisconsin, called the Bio-Ag Gateway. BioLink Center offers unique space for lease including closed BSL II greenhouses and controlled environments, perfect for plant science and commercialization. Other plusses include shared equipment and services, value added business advice, conference, meeting and shop space.
The facility will be available for occupancy in Spring of 2012. Pre-leasing is underway now for interested companies, allowing for your business to custom design space now.
This project is a collaborative effort of Madison Development Corporation (MDC) and the City of Madison and the city's Office of Business Resources. Among our other partners is Orbitec, a space exploration and technology transfer company specializing in controlled environments for biological research, which has pre-leased space in the BioLink Center. The project is possible thanks to the financial commitments of the City of Madison, The U.S. Department of Commerce's Economic Development Administration (EDA), and the State of Wisconsin Department of Commerce. The project has also been supported by the Madison Gas & Electric Company.
Madison Development Corporation (MDC) is the owner, developer and manager for the facility. We also bring our expertise in small business financing and the potential of our financial assistance to tenants at BioLink. MDC also works closely with the State of Wisconsin Department of Commerce on their financing programs and can assist tenants with access to State Commerce funds for improvements as well as other needs.
