MDC Board Members
The corporation is managed by a thirteen member Board of Directors. The Board, chaired by Tom Solheim, contains representatives from both area business and community leaders. Madison Development Corporation By-Laws require the Board to represent sections of the community. The Mayor of Madison appoints eight of the Directors, the Chair of the Dane County Board of Supervisors appoints one County Supervisor that represents Madison and four members are elected by the MDC membership. Any Dane County resident, business, or person employed in the county is eligible to be a member of MDC.
The Madison Development Corporation Board of Directors provides policy guidance and direction to the President. The Board meets generally at 7:45 AM on the second Wednesday of every other month. Each Director normally sits on one standing or ad hoc Committee. Current committees include the Executive, Loan and Investment, and Housing Committees.
