Company Overview

The Madison Development Corporation is a non-profit corporation with assets totaling over $12,000,000.00 and a 9 member staff.

Board of Directors

The corporation is managed by a thirteen member Board of Directors. The Board, chaired by Tom Solheim, contains representatives from both area business and community leaders. The President, Frank Staniszewski, who reports to the board, oversees the daily activities of the staff.

Business Loan Program

The Business Loan Program makes loan funds available for growing or start-up businesses that cannot fully meet the underwriting standards of private commercial lenders. Loans can be made for up to $200,000.00 to qualifying businesses for working capital, inventory, equipment and leasehold improvements, as well as real estate.

Business Assistance Program

Madison Development Corporation has grant funds available to help Madison businesses improve their capacity for growth by the purchase of technical assistance such as training, course work, consultants, and specialized software.

Affordable Housing

The Property Management Team of the Madison Development Corporation provides affordable rental housing to the residents of Madison, in a healthy, safe, and respectful environment through the rental of The Avenue Apartments at 1948-54 East Washington Avenue, Terrace View, Forest Harbor Apartments on Allen Blvd. in Middleton, the Bassett Warehouse Apartments and a group of eight downtown buildings collectively known as MDC Central.
