Madison Development Corporation, with our national economy, has emerged from the recession.  MDC is strong and has been an important factor in Madison and Dane County for alleviating the effects of the recession and assisting in a positive outcome.  Our 2010 jobs report showed that the MDC small business borrowers created 150 new jobs.  This compares to 110 in 2009.  Of the new jobs, 81% were at high wages and 79% included employer sponsored health benefits.

Dane County Development

Dane County Development Company (DCDC) has loan funds for innovative and hard to finance businesses in Dane County. DCDC can lend up to $50,000 to qualifying businesses for working capital, inventory, equipment, leasehold improvements as well as real estate.

Requirements:

  • Location of business in Dane County
  • Business must achieve community benefit that might include job growth, opportunities for disadvantaged owners and employees, or undertaking improvement in lower income or rural areas.
  • Business must have a relationship with one of the 16 shareholder banks of DCDC.
